Bot Telemetry & Rendering
Deep bot telemetry, headless DOM rendering, and crawl graph insights.
Understand your site exactly as search engine robots and AI scrapers see it. Audit crawl paths, measure TTFB response times, evaluate rendering costs, and optimize crawl budget efficiency.
Interactive Capability Preview
Illustrative workflow with sample telemetry. Real captures appear on the homepage.
This is not live telemetry. Latency, requests, errors and paths require source logs for the selected site and time window.
Record structure: observation time | claimed User-Agent | identity verification state | path | response status | latency, when measured
A Googlebot or OAI-SearchBot User-Agent does not prove bot identity. Only supported identity verification can mark a request verified; missing data is not zero. Log requests are not search impressions and do not guarantee indexing.
Groviqo site crawling and external bot visit logs are separate sources. Browser rendering depends on crawl configuration and does not reproduce Googlebot indexing decisions.
How the capability works
1. Bot-Specific Crawling & Scraper Behavior
Different web crawlers have vastly different capabilities. Googlebot executes JavaScript with an evergreen Chromium engine, while LLM scrapers (such as GPTBot and ClaudeBot) often retrieve raw server text to train models or answer live user queries. Groviqo tests your site from multiple bot perspectives.
- Simulates AI web scrapers: verify whether GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot can read your content
- Robots.txt parser: confirms directives correctly allow beneficial AI search crawlers while blocking malicious scrapers
- Render-time cost evaluation: tracks the exact milliseconds of CPU time required to render each page
2. Crawl Depth & Internal Equity Distribution
If a valuable product or feature page requires 5 or 6 clicks from the homepage to reach, search engine robots will crawl it rarely and assign it low internal priority. Groviqo maps your entire URL graph by click depth, ensuring high-value pages stay within 3 clicks of the homepage.
- Visual click-depth distribution: identifies valuable pages buried too deep in the site architecture
- Orphan page identification: finds indexed URLs with zero inbound internal links
- Internal PageRank simulation: maps where internal link equity concentrates and where it bottlenecks
Practical tooling for end-to-end execution
Multi-Agent Bot Simulator
Tests site rendering across Googlebot, Bingbot, and LLM search scrapers to verify content accessibility.
Click-Depth Analyzer
Calculates minimum click distance from homepage to ensure commercial pages receive sufficient crawl equity.
Traditional approach vs Groviqo
| Dimension / Capability | Blind to Bot Ingestion | Groviqo Crawler Intelligence |
|---|---|---|
| Bot Visibility | Only testing in desktop browsers; unaware of how AI scrapers or mobile bots see the page | Configured crawler profiles for supported browser and bot-like user agents |
Frequently asked implementation questions
What is the difference between Googlebot and AI search scrapers?
Googlebot focuses on indexing pages for traditional keyword search, rendering complex JavaScript and building an index of web documents. AI scrapers (like GPTBot or Perplexity) retrieve factual content chunks to answer user questions directly, heavily favoring clean, structured text and direct answers.
